Changing the primary admin in QuickBooks Online (QBO) or Intuit Enterprise Suite is a straightforward process, but it requires careful attention to detail. The steps involve signing in as the current primary admin, selecting the user to transfer the role to, and confirming the change through the settings menu. In case the new admin is not listed as an Admin, their role must be updated before transferring the rights.

Lastly, the user you’ve assigned the primary admin role to will receive an email invitation. Once the new primary admin accepts the invite, they will have the primary admin rights. The original primary admin will automatically be assigned the Company Admin role.
Intuit Enterprise Suite is a cloud-based accounting software that can be used my many users at once. Follow these steps given below if you want to change the primary admin in Intuit Enterprise Suite.
Log in to Intuit Enterprise Suite with the current primary admin’s credentials. Use the user ID recovery option if needed.
Click the Settings ⚙ icon in the top right corner.
From the settings menu, select Manage Users to see all users linked to your Intuit Enterprise Suite account.
Find the user you want to assign as the new primary admin. Confirm they are listed as an Admin in the Role column. In case not, click Edit to change their role to Admin.
Once the user is an Admin, click Action, then select Change Primary Admin.
A pop-up will appear asking you to confirm the change. Click Change Primary Admin again to confirm.
After confirmation, you will be signed out of Intuit Enterprise Suite automatically. When you log back in, you’ll have the Company Admin role.
The new primary admin will receive an email invitation. They must accept the invitation and sign in to their Intuit account to complete the process.
After accepting, the new primary admin will have the primary admin rights, and the original admin will be assigned the Company Admin role.
For multi-entity companies, the parent primary admin will gain access to all client companies.
